Diva - 7th January 2012 aged 3.5 months

Diva is a stunning lilac colourpoint girl and has now arrived in Wales from Republic Of Ireland. She's such a beautiful, chunky girl and we're beyond thrilled she has joined us at Cwtchycats. She is a real little character, very confident and will be a huge asset to us in our chocolate dreams!!! She was also born to live in the 'land of song' as she has a huge pair of lungs and uses them to 'sing' (and point out her distaste) quite effectively!!

Diva earnt her name on the journey home from Ireland. The poor little mite was seasick on the ferry (it was pretty rough) and spent the remaining 2 hour drive from Pembroke to Caerphilly screaming at the top of her voice like a professional Diva!! This was at 1-3am after me having spent the last 16 hours travelling - wearing to say the least!! But we both survived! <G>

She has come to us from our friends Natascia & Jim at Poppylove Cattery in the Republic Of Ireland. We would like to thank them for the trust they have put in us with their precious lines and we look forward to working with them in the future to improve the chocolate Ragdoll gene pool.

Diva has tested 'normal' in a genetic test at Langfords' Laboratory, Bristol for the MYBPC3 gene, associated with HCM and also normal for PKD. She is a DNA tested lilac, which will enable us to breed chocolate & lilac Ragdolls from her which we're delighted with and very excited about - she will give our lines more diversity. She is also from traditional lines with some tabby & red mixed into them (no BAL, SBi etc outcrossing).
